Leadership

Hayleys Fabric PLC is led by some of the most experienced business minds in the country. The Board is chaired by Mr. A. M. Pandithage, with strategic direction complemented by the operational leadership of Managing Director / CEO Mr. E. R. P. (Rohan) Goonetilleke, a veteran of Sri Lanka’s textile industry. Together, the Board is responsible for setting the managerial frameworks that keep the company running smoothly and for safeguarding the interests of its key stakeholders. The Board sets goals periodically and reviews performance regularly against a defined set of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), spanning both quantitative and qualitative measures.

A. M. Pandithage

Chairman – Executive Director

Mr. Mohan Pandithage currently serves as Chairman and Chief Executive of Hayleys PLC, a position he has held since July 2009.
An accomplished industry veteran in transportation and logistics, he was honoured with the ‘Best Shipping Personality’ Award by the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers, and later received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Seatrade-Sri Lanka Ports, Trade and Logistics (SLPTL) conference. He was the first Sri Lankan to receive the Pinnacle Lifetime Award from the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT), and was inducted as a ‘Legend of Logistics’ by the Sri Lanka Logistics and Freight Forwarding Association.
He serves as Honorary Consul of the United Mexican States (Mexico) to Sri Lanka, is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (UK), and sits on the Advisory Council of the Ceylon Association of Shipping Agents (CASA) and as a Council Member of the Employers’ Federation of Ceylon.
As Executive Chairman across multiple Hayleys Group companies, Mr. Pandithage holds the position of Executive Chairman at Dipped Products PLC, Haycarb PLC, Hayleys Fibre PLC, Talawakelle Tea Estates PLC, Kelani Valley Plantations PLC, Horana Plantations PLC, Alumex PLC, Singer (Sri Lanka) PLC, The Kingsbury PLC and Hayleys Leisure PLC.

E. R. P. Goonetilleke

Managing Director / CEO Executive Director

Mr. Eranga Rohan Peiris Goonetilleke joined Hayleys Fabric PLC as Managing Director / CEO on 1 March 2013 and was appointed to the Group Management Committee the same month. He has also served as Managing Director / CEO of South Asia Textiles Limited since April 2021, and was appointed to the Board of SriLankan Airlines Ltd. on 20 October 2024.
Before joining Hayleys Fabric, he served as a Director of Brandix X’pressions (Pvt) Limited and was appointed to the Board of CLT Apparel (India) (Pvt) Limited, a fully owned subsidiary of Brandix Lanka Limited, in January 2011. From 2003 to 2010 he was Managing Director / CEO of Textured Jersey Lanka (Pvt) Limited, prior to which he led Linea Clothing (Pvt) Limited, a subsidiary of MAS Holdings, and served as CEO of Elpitiya Plantations Limited at Carson Cumberbatch & Company Limited. He qualified as a Graduate Engineer (B.Sc. Eng.) in the United Kingdom.

Ms. K. A. D. B. Perera

Ms. Brindhiini Perera holds a Masters in Mechanical Engineering from Imperial College London, covering Manufacturing Technology and Management, Entrepreneurship, Corporate Finance, Statistics and Mathematics.
She serves as a Non-Executive Director of several Colombo Stock Exchange-listed companies, including Haycarb PLC, Dipped Products PLC, The Kingsbury PLC, Hayleys Leisure PLC, Singer (Sri Lanka) PLC, Vallibel One PLC, Royal Ceramics Lanka PLC, Lanka Tiles PLC, Lanka Walltiles PLC, and The Fortress Resorts PLC. She also sits on the Board of Eurocarb Products Ltd (UK), Delmege Limited, Otwo Biscuit (Private) Limited, The Canbury Biscuit Company Limited, Manatee Clothing Company (Pvt) Ltd, and the Dhammika & Priscilla Perera Foundation.

S. C. Ganegoda

Non Executive Director

A Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (CA Sri Lanka) and a Member of the Institute of Certified Management Accountants of Australia, Mr. Ganegoda holds an MBA from the Postgraduate Institute of Management, University of Sri Jayewardenepura. He has held several senior management positions across large private-sector entities in Sri Lanka and overseas, and is responsible for the Strategic Business Development Unit and Group Information Technology of the Hayleys Group.
He was appointed Deputy Chairman of Alumex PLC in October 2020, and serves on the Boards of Hayleys PLC, Unisyst Engineering PLC, Dipped Products PLC, Haycarb PLC, Hayleys Fibre PLC, Kelani Valley Plantations PLC, Singer (Sri Lanka) PLC, The Kingsbury PLC, Hayleys Leisure PLC and Horana Plantations PLC.

H. Somashantha

Non-Executive Director

Mr. Haresh Somashantha is a finance and operations professional with over 25 years of leadership experience across business planning and development, strategic and financial management, and process optimisation, with a strong track record of team-led improvements to revenue, efficiency and profitability.
A Fellow Member of both the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka and the Institute of Certified Management Accountants of Sri Lanka, and an Associate Member of CPA Australia, he holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics. He currently serves as Director Finance of Royal Ceramics Lanka PLC (Rocell Group), and as a Director and Audit Committee Member of Vallibel Power Erathna PLC and Unidil Packaging Limited, with further directorships across the Unidil and Delmege Group.

N. Ekanayake

Senior Independent Director

Mr. Nandana Ekanayake is a Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (FCA) with over 30 years of post-qualifying experience, an Associate Member of CPA Australia, and a Fellow Member of the Certified Management Accountants of Sri Lanka (FCMA). He completed executive education at London Business School (UK) and leadership education at IMD (Switzerland).
He is Chairman/CEO of Siam City Cement (Lanka) Ltd., and Chairman/CEO of both Mahaweli Marine (Pvt) Ltd and Insee Ecocycle Lanka (Pvt) Ltd, subsidiaries of Siam City Cement. He previously served as Vice President – Finance, IT and Procurement of Holcim Lanka Ltd, as General Manager of Ruhunu Cement Co. Ltd, and as Finance Director of Holcim (Vietnam) Ltd for 10 years. He is also Senior Independent Director and Audit Committee Chairman of Kelani Valley Plantations PLC and Talawakelle Tea Estates PLC, and served as an Independent Board Member of Biodiversity Sri Lanka from 2020 to 2022.

M. N. R. Fernando

Mr. Nanda Fernando is a banker with over four decades of experience, now serving as a business consultant and Managing Director of Professional Business Consultants, a financial planning and advisory firm. He is a Director of Haycarb PLC, Dipped Products PLC, Hatton National Bank PLC, and Assetline Finance Ltd.
He was previously Managing Director of Sampath Bank, where he served for 36 years from its inception, and earlier spent almost 6 years at Hatton National Bank PLC. He is a Senior Fellow of the Institute of Bankers Sri Lanka and holds a Master of Business Administration from Sikkim Manipal University, India.

J. A. N. R. Adhihetty

Mr. Amrith Adhihetty holds a Bachelor of Commerce and Accounting degree from Macquarie University, New South Wales, Australia, and is a Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA). He currently serves as an Executive Director at Delmege Forsyth & Co. Ltd, spanning Interior Décor & Flooring, Building Products, Healthcare, Travel, Furniture Manufacturing and FMCG.
He also serves as an Independent Non-Executive Director of Lanka Tiles PLC, and as a Non-Executive Director of Eden Pharmaceuticals (Pvt) Ltd, Grip Delmege (Pvt) Ltd, Grip Nordic (Pvt) Ltd and Summer Season Mirissa (Pvt) Ltd.

T. A. B. Speldewinde

Independent Non-Executive Director

Mr. Timothy Speldewinde is a Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (UK). He has over 25 years with the MAS Group, including as CEO of Stretchline Holdings, headquartered in Hong Kong with manufacturing facilities in Sri Lanka and overseas.
He currently serves as Independent Non-Executive Director of Hayleys PLC and Haycarb PLC, and as Independent Non-Executive Director and Audit Committee Chairman of The Kingsbury PLC, Horana Plantations PLC, Ceylon Grain Elevators PLC, Three Acre Farms PLC and WealthTrust Securities Limited. He is a consultant to the Board of MAS Holdings (Pvt) Ltd and a Director of Contemporary Ceylon (Pvt) Ltd.

I. B. R. R. Bandara

Executive Director

Mr. Rohitha Bandara joined Hayleys Fabric in 2012 as Chief Financial Officer and was appointed to the Board on 15 May 2018. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (FCA) and a Fellow member of ACCA (UK), holding a B.Sc. Management Special Degree from the University of Sri Jayawardenepura and an MBA in Finance from the University of Colombo.
He is additionally qualified in AAT, ACMA (SL), ACPM and AIPFM (UK), with over four years at Ernst & Young across Sri Lanka and Singapore and over 16 years of manufacturing experience in the textiles industry as Sector Head of Finance / Director-Finance. He has completed several corporate leadership programmes, including one conducted by HIDA in Japan, and was appointed to the Board of South Asia Textiles Limited in 2021.

M. H. Jayasinghe

Mr. Malith Jayasinghe joined Hayleys Fabric PLC as a Management Trainee and has taken on progressively senior responsibilities in Sales and Marketing over more than 20 years with the company. He was appointed to the Board of Hayleys Fabric PLC in 2019 and to the Board of South Asia Textiles Limited in 2021.

K. P. C. P. K. Pathirana

Executive Director
Appointed – August 2020
Mr. Prasanna Pathirana holds a Graduate degree in Business Management (Human Resource) Special from the University of Kelaniya, along with a Diploma in Psychology from the Sri Lanka Psychological Institute. He has over 23 years’ experience in Human Resource Management across leading local and multinational companies.
He was appointed to the Board of South Asia Textiles Limited in 2021, and as Chairman of the Tea, Rubber and Coconut Estates (Control of Fragmentation) Board on 28 October 2024, under the Ministry of Plantation and Community Infrastructure.
